From the list below, choose a rock style and look closely at the artists or band associated with that genre. Remember, artists can cross over between the different rock styles - AND you do not have to choose one of the artists below. They're merely to get you started...

Research the key features of your chosen style. We strongly recommend you use more than just Wikipedia!
Try the following (in this order, too):

- Listen to 2-3 songs by an artist or two from your genre - make some notes on your Concept Template (Step 3)
- Google some images of artists, bands and other images of that style - make more notes on your Concept Template
- Read the Wikipedia page on your genre - surprise! Make more notes on your Concept Template
